STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease) is the new name for Veneral Diseases. These are caused by Bacteria, fungi, viruses, parasites, protozoa,…Sometimes, they are also referred to as STIs ( Sexually Transmitted infections). Specifically, STD refers only to diseases that cause symptoms. As may be noted from the name, sexually transmitted diseases are transmitted from one person to another by certain sexual activities rather than being actually caused by those sexual activities

STD incidence rates remain high in most of the world, despite diagnostic and therapeutic advances that can rapidly render patients with many STDs noninfectious and cure most. In many cultures, changing sexual morals and oral contraceptive use have eliminated traditional sexual restraints, especially for women, and both physicians and patients have difficulty dealing openly and candidly with sexual issues.

The most effective way to prevent sexual transmission of STIs is to avoid contact of body parts or fluids which can lead to transfer, not necessarily any sexual activity with an infected partner. No contact equals no risk, not all sexual activities involve contact, such as cybersex, phonesex or masturbation from a distance are methods of avoiding contact. Condoms help in preventing STDs. However, one needs to learn to use condom correctly. Many a times people wear it on only half of the penis and this exposes the organ to STDs.

Proper usage of condoms entails:

Not putting the condom on too tight at the end, and leaving 1.5 cm (3/4 inch) room at the tip for ejaculation. Putting the condom on snug can and often does lead to failure.

Wearing a condom too loose can defeat the barrier.

Avoiding inverting, spilling a condom once worn, whether it has ejaculate in it or not, even for a second.

Avoiding condoms made of substances other than latex or polyurethane, as they don’t protect against HIV.

Avoiding the use of oil based lubricants (or anything with oil in it) with latex condoms, as oil can eat holes into them.

Using flavored condoms for oral sex only, as the sugar in the flavoring can lead to yeast infections if used to penetrate.

Without knowing the exact cause behind the story every time women’s are blamed for infertility and are usually cursed and torched for the cause which she is not responsible for. This evil deed is practiced in the countries like India.

Today science has evidences for this cause and has proved that infertility may also be related to the men. Investigations has resulted that not only women can face the problem of infertility, but men can also lead to abnormalities of semen quality. The doctors usually advice both among the couple to seek check ups.

The hypothalamus is ultimately responsible for the reproductive disorder, as hypothalamus influences the production and secretion of gonadotrophin hormone. Gonadotrophin hormone is hormone secreted by the anterior pituitary gland and placenta; stimulates the gonads and controls reproductive activity.

Gonadotrophin hormone is released by hypothalamus that provokes the secretion and liberates both the luteinizing hormone and follicle stimulating hormone. These hormones are produced in the anterior of the pituitary glands and are secreted alternatively. These then ultimately bind to the specific receptors on the Leydig cells and Sertoli cells within the testis.

The luteinizing hormone is inhibited by the hormone testosterone which is produced by the testis. This testosterone may produce in the peripheral tissue ultimately to stimulate androgen dihydrotestosterone or the potent estrogen estradiol. Sertoli cells produce the Inhibin that directs the feed back mechanism and ultimately controls the production of follicle stimulating hormone.

Study shows that the concentration of spermatogenesis decreases with low level of inhibin and consequently results in decline in follicle stimulating hormone. Another type of hormone known as prolactin is also related with the gonadotropin releasing hormone, luteinizing hormone and follicle stimulating hormone. This prolactin accompany with hyperprolactinemia, inhibits the production of gonadotropin releasing hormone.

Unfortunately there were misbelieves that infertility is related with the women and those were ill-treated in the society. But science reached the peak to find out the alternative solution to this critical problem. Some advanced technology includes inseminations or IVF using donor sperm, and even genetic engineering proving blessing for such couples.

Yeast is a very known and common micro-organism usually found in the humans. It is present in adequate population, as its growth is controlled by body’s natural defensive mechanism. Nearly 70-80% of women are likely to suffer from Candidiasis. Hence Candida albicans is the natural vaginal flora of the female organ. It occurs naturally in the vagina and causes no harm to the body when present in adequate quantity. If this organism exceeds the normal population in the body, it can prove fatal to the body and cause diseases. The frequent intake of contraceptives, some antibiotics, diabetes mellitus etc, can increase the possibility of yeast infection.

The preliminary indications to this disease are itching and may even cause irritation of the vagina or vulva. Female can even observe the whitish discharge that may smell like yeast nearly similar odor of beer or baking bread. In many cases yeast infection and bacterial vaginoses show similar symptoms, therefore women misbelieve that they have yeast infection, when they usually suffer from bacterial vaginosis.

Previously, women had their own treatment to this disease, but recently it has studied that Bacterial vaginosis can only be treated by the doctors.

Remedies

Candidiasis is the disease that can be self-treated in the preliminary case. But in extreme cases special anti fungal treatment is to be followed as prescribed by the doctor. To cure this infection some other organism that can inhibit the growth of causative organism is used. In this case other natural flora of the body specifically lactobacilli is advised to consume that is usually present in the yogurt, which inhibits the growth of yeast. Thus it helps to cure the disease. Hence patient can even consume slightly smashed garlic clove, that is produces an anti fungal substances called allicin. To be more prescribing, medicines like acidophilus tablets or salves can be used to prevent it. Even antibiotic powders like boric acid can be used to avoid the spread of infection before bedtime for few nights.

Some other remedies are that patient can douche a liquid mixture of one teaspoon baking soda in one cup of water. As candida cannot resist alkaline condition, the baking soda alters the acidic condition of the vagina to alkaline and ultimately cures the infection.

In extreme cases, the sufferer should directly consult the doctor as home remedies can provide just little relief. It is normally advised that the patient should go for proper medication by consulting the doctor. The only remedy to extreme cases is to consume medication as prescribed by the doctor.

Some of the anti-fungal drugs to treat candidiasis are; topical clotrimazole, topical nystatin, fluconazole, topical ketoconazole. Hence the patient should seek advice by the doctor before going for these medications.

Hormone should be in appropriate proportion in our body any change in the quantity leads to various disorders of the body. Hence raises the need of hormones therapy in any imbalance of it. As this therapy is adopted to fulfill or retard the secretion of the hormones, it can be named in many ways such as hormone replacement, hormone therapy or ovarian therapy. This therapy is usually practiced to treat the hormones which are in abnormal proportion that is when they are in high or low in proportion. Menopause is said to be a disease when it occurs before time. It takes place due to inadequacy of the hormone estrogen and progesterone. Menopause is a natural phase of female reproductive cycle, like puberty. Therefore hormone therapy is becoming popular due to its important treatment in curing the disease.

Menopause is one of the phases of menstrual cycle of the women’s reproductive life cycle. It causes the detrimental effect on women’s modus vendible as it is believed to be the relax phase of women’s life cycle. After menopause women increases the risk of many diseases like diabetes, heart diseases, etc. Therefore nowadays women go through the hormone therapy to avoid the problems like hot flash, vaginal dryness and related problems. In some cases, women suffer from premature menopause like stage, which may lead to many female problems. There arises the need for hormone therapy to solve this problem. Further detail study of this therapy also paves a way to avoid the risk of heart attacks, debilitating disease of osteoporosis.

Treatment:

Such disease is usually not completely cured, as doctors suggest long term medication to such patients nearly 10-20 years or more.

Hormone therapy is adopted to fulfill the deficiency of the hormones estrogen and progesterone. That may be done by quick insertion of hormone pill or even intake of the medicines for your vaginal problems. One can also take it through injections.

The estrogen and progesterone are two important female hormones. Absence of any one of these in women’s may lead to the disorder like if progesterone is absent then estrogen alone may possibly increase the risk of various disease like uterus cancer. Presence of progesterone may overcome this possibility. since it replaces estrogen hormone, this therapy is called “estrogen replacement therapy”. In women in which uterus has been removed, estrogen hormone singly can work.

Menopause in early stages of life cycle may be due to various reasons, one of the reasons may be radioactive or chemotherapy exposure. What so ever may the cause, it takes place due to the low level of hormones. Sometimes it occurs in early forties that may be naturally but in most of the cases in happens in young women that have low level of hormone.

Nowadays women are adopting this therapy to get rid of this problem. American women go for this therapy specifically at the stage of menopause in the age of 40’s-50’s. But still hesitate to take the decision, since it is the long term treatment. Before adopting this treatment it is important to consult with the specialist as to avoid any complication further. One should study the details of it considering their side effects. Not all women can go through this therapy since their medical history may decide it, like in some cases the women who had previously gone through treatment including breast cancer, liver disease, unnecessary vaginal bleeding etc, are not allowed to go through it.

There is no need to say that improving one’s sexual prowess and doing Yoga does have a link, and a symbiotic one at that.

By research, the subsequent poses from Yoga are tremendously beneficial when trying to improve your performance in bed.

1. The Abdominal Lifts and Breathing Exercises.
2. The Peacock Pose.
3. The Bow Pose.
4. The Shoulderstand (or any inversion pose at that)

In relation to improving sexual skill through Yoga, each of these poses increases one’s sexual fitness and you know what else (guys and ladies), this yoga-esque exercise the Hindu Push-up is another eminent exercise in regards to fitness for improving sexual prowess through Yoga, anti-aging, and for the males out there, getting “ripped” not unlike the everlasting Jackie chan

In addition, the diet that most enthusiastic yoga instructors encourage for practice, not only helps with improving health, but lends to having a more prevailing contain over sex and a related stamina to not only lasting longer but for overall physical conditioning.

Therefore, buddy the next time you think doing Yoga is chiefly for females or not ‘masculine’ enough, think again, it very well could be that thing to make you a super force in that room of the house where your ‘masculinity’ and force may matter the most…pleasing your partner that is.

If a woman is sexually active and she is productive— physically able to become pregnant — she needs to ask herself, “Do I want to become pregnant now?” If her answer is “No,” she must use some method of birth control (contraception). If a woman does not want to get pregnant at this point in her life, when does she plan to become pregnant? Soon? Much later? Never? Her answers to these questions can determine the method of birth control that she and her male sexual partner use — now and in the future.

There are a number of diverse ways to describe birth control. Terms include contraception, pregnancy prevention, fertility control, and family planning. But no matter what the process is called, sexually active people can choose from a plethora of methods to reduce the possibility of their becoming pregnant. Nevertheless, no method of birth control available today offers perfect protection against sexually transmitted infections (sexually transmitted diseases, or STDs), except abstinence.

It is anticipated that there are 3.6 million unplanned pregnancies every year in the United States. Half of these unplanned pregnancies happen because a couple does not use any birth control at all, and the other half occur because the couple uses birth control, but not correctly.

In basic terms, all methods of birth control are based on either preventing a man’s sperm from reaching and entering a woman’s egg (fertilization) or preventing the fertilized egg from implanting in the woman’s uterus (her womb) and starting to grow.

Birth control methods can be reversible or permanent. Reversible birth control means that the method can be stopped at essentially any time without long-term effects on fertility (the ability to become pregnant). Permanent birth control usually means that the method cannot be undone or reversed, most likely because it involved surgery. Examples of permanent methods include vasectomy for the man or tubal ligation for the woman.

Birth control methods can also be classified according to whether they are a barrier method (for example, a condom) that blocks sperm, a mechanical method (for example, an intrauterine device), or a hormonal method (for example, the “pill”).

“Natural” methods do not rely on devices or hormones but on observing some aspect of a woman’s body physiology in order to prevent fertilization.

The candid responsibility for most of the methods of birth control that are currently available rests with the woman. The input of a health care provider may sometimes be essential in choosing appropriate birth control. New methods of birth control are being developed and tested all the time. And what is appropriate for a couple at one point may change with time and circumstances.

Unfortunately, no birth control method, except abstinence, is considered to be 100% effective.
