Regular, careful lens care and proper use can reduce the odds of any re-occurrence.</p>
<p>Corneal abrasions, while uncommon, are also far from unknown among contact lens users. A small scratch on the clear tissue over the pupil can happen when small particles of grit get between the lens and the eye, usually as a result of poor cleaning or handling. But it can occur even to the most careful, as airborne or finger-borne material lands on the surface of the eyeball.</p>

<p>If this happens, healing can take weeks or months, during which time contact lenses can&#8217;t be worn. As the eye resumes its normal shape, vision can change. More than one glasses prescription may be required for optimal sight. In rare cases the astigmatism is permanent.</p>

In the  investigations  performed, 25 patients were treated with acupuncture  whereas other 25 patients were treated with stimulated acupuncture. These two  types are performed in six session. The treatment was completed in 2-3 weeks.</p>
<p>From the research done it revealed that the first 25 patient showed  better results than the second one. Hence it was studied that the patients in  the first case showed the symptoms of fatigue and anxiety. But the common  activities and and similar habits. <h4>Cancer</h4>
<p>The word cancer actually concerns to many diseases, not one. In fact, there are more than 100 types of diseases known collectively as cancer. What they all have in common is the overgrowth of cells, tiny units that make up all living things. Cancer (also known as malignancy, pronounced: muh-lig-nun-see) takes place when cells begin to grow and multiply in an uncontrolled way.</p>
<p>Normal body cells cultivate and divide over a period of time until they eventually die. But cancer cells continue to grow and divide and grow and divide. Eventually, they gather to form tumors. <p>No one really knows why cancer grows in specific people. Scientists and researchers are working to learn why some people get cancer and others do not. This will help them to learn whether cancer can be prevented.</p>
<p>Doctors do have some ideas about why people may get cancer, though. The main reasons are genetics and certain environmental or behavioral triggers.</p>
<p>The disposition to build up some types of cancer is believed to be inherited &#8211; that is, the genes you were born with might carry a predisposition for cancer. For example, if a close relative has had cancer of the breast or the colon, you may be more likely to inherit the tendency to develop those cancers, even though you may never actually get them.</p>
<p>Several behavioral and environmental triggers can cause changes in the body&#8217;s cells that push them into a cancerous state. For example, cigarettes are known to increase the risk of lung cancer. Too much exposure to the sun can increase the risk of skin cancer. Radiotherapy machines deliver powerful X-rays or high-energy electrons to the part of a person&#8217;s body that&#8217;s affected by cancer. After repeated doses of high levels of radiation, many cancerous tumors shrink or disappear.</strong></p>

In spite of life&#8217;s demands, there are some simple and effective steps which can reduce daily pressures.  Here are some paths to reduce internal stress.<span id="more-17"></span></p>
<h4>1. Move out somewhere else for lunch.</h4>
<p>Step out of the office and enjoy your noon meal at a park. Use this time to be with nature. Try this once or twice a week, especially now that the weather is getting warmer. Eat slowly, enjoy your meal, and relish the fresh air to rejuvenate you.</p>
<h4>2. Bear in mind, you WILL commit mistakes.</h4>
<p>They&#8217;re called lessons. And you learn from lessons, yes? Many people are forever beating themselves up because they had forgot a meeting, forgot their lunch, only worked out for 20 minutes, had a piece of coffee cake, or didn&#8217;t complete their to-do list.</p>
<p>The important thing to remember is: we all make mistakes, and will make mistakes. It&#8217;s our job to focus on SOLVING or LEARNING from the problem or mistake, not wallow in it.</p>
<h4>3. Carry the peacefulness prayer with you.</h4>
<p>This 25-word prayer, written years ago by Professor Rein hold Nebular at Union Theological Seminary in New York, has helped many people regain balance in their lives: &#8220;God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.&#8221; Carry those words with you and memorize them.</p>
<h4>4. Give yourself a much worthy pat on the back.</h4>
<p>Each day, take a moment to pat yourself on the back for all the things you did. This will shift your perspective, helping you appreciate the great balancing act you pull off daily&#8211;working, parenting, volunteering, maintaining a social life, caring for elders, etc.</p>
<h4>5. Design an image of peace in your mind.</h4>
<p>Numerous times during your workday, pause briefly to create a peaceful image in your mind. For example, picture yourself flying (NOT in a plane, but YOU flying over mountains, meadows, forests, oceans, gently gliding across the sky, admiring the view below. The more you practice this technique, the easier you will relieve daily stresses.</p>
<h4>6. Read.</h4>
<p>Reading is a great way to escape, educate yourself, and expand your horizons for personal and professional growth. If your life is hectic, this is a great way to relieve stress. You&#8217;re now doing something for YOU. Read at lunch time, in the evening (instead of watching TV), in bed before you go to sleep. Consider using audio books that you can listen to on your way to and from work.</p>
<h4>7. Smile.</h4>
<p>Greet everyone with a smile. This will make others feel good about being with you. In turn, smiling will give you a deep sense of ease, calm and peace.</p>
<h4>8. Check how you breathe.</h4>
<p>Are you breathing deeply? When we are relaxed, our breathing is slow and even. However, when we are anxious or upset our breathing becomes shallow. When you notice yourself becoming stressed, say to yourself, &#8220;Stop.&#8221; As you breathe in, repeat the word &#8220;peace,&#8221; or say something that brings peace to you. As you breathe out, smile. Meanwhile, let your shoulders drop and your hands relax. Repeat this sequence several times.</p>
<h4>9. Exercise</h4>
<p>Experts note that exercise is efficient in burning the excess adrenaline that fuels feelings of anxiety and stress. Exercise also releases endorsing, the body&#8217;s natural chemicals which block anxiety and pain. So take a brisk walk during your lunch hour or get your butt to the gym for a stress- busting weightlifting workout. Head to the gym after work to &#8220;work off&#8221; the stress of your day.</p>
<h4>10. Consider positively.</h4>
<p>During a day when you face a crisis, think &#8220;challenge.&#8221; Remember, it&#8217;s all in your observation of the situation that determines how stressful it is. Approaching any stressful event in this manner will positively boost your energy. So the next time you face a conflict, think in positive terms. When you face an obstacle, think &#8220;opportunity.&#8221;</p>
<h4>11. Be cautious of what you drink.</h4>
<p>The coffee or soda you drink throughout the day can be a mental health nightmare. Too much caffeine can cause shaky hands, restlessness and irritability, all of which boost stressful feelings.</p>
<h4>12. Accomplish the very best you can, right now.</h4>
<p>This is another way of learning to be less-than-perfect. Trying to be perfect leads to destructive behavior and procrastination. In other words, commit to completing your task or project by giving your all. That&#8217;s distinction &#8211; the commitment to completion. Just do it.</p>
<h4>13. Just say, &#8220;No.&#8221;</h4>
<p>You don&#8217;t have to accept every project, invitation to become involved or every opportunity to attend a meeting. You&#8217;re not a prisoner to your phone or your friends. Acknowledge what you want and don&#8217;t want to do. Say, &#8220;No, thank you,&#8221; to requests you don&#8217;t want to accept. Period.</p>
<h4>14. Recollect happy memories.</h4>
<p>Tap into the power of your memories. In a time of stress, look back and remember a pleasant experience or satisfying moment that brought you great joy. Your wedding, the birth of your child, a time where you were publicly recognized for an achievement. Relive them for the purposes of helping you experience better.</p>
<h4>15. Listen to the music.</h4>
<p>The right music can take you from a highly intense state to a relaxed state in a short time. The right music is generally instrumental rather than vocal and tends to be performed by instruments such as flute, harp, piano and string ensembles. Many people find the sounds of nature combined with musical harmonies to be very relaxing.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We&#8217;ve entered the Twilight Zone when it comes to the multitude of diets being promoted today. Starting with the Atkins Diet, then the South Beach Diet, now the Hamptons Diet and more. All higher in protein, lower in carbs, but the dissimilarity should be quality of carbs, not singling out one nutrient entirely. If you are on the Atkins Diet, South Beach Diet or any other deviation of a high protein/low carb diet simply adjust from eating low quality carbs like refined flour and sugar products (think if it comes in a box, it&#8217;s likely low quality) to eating more whole food products like fresh vegetables and fruits &#8211; yes fruits.<span id="more-16"></span></p>
<h4>Judge your own diet</h4>
<p>The traditional Atkins Diet doesn&#8217;t sponsor much fruit (too high sugar) but think about that for one minute.  An apple is a good food, a bowl of Apple Jacks cereal may not be on an equal level. One is highly processed sweetened by added white sugar and corn syrup, and one is natural, plucked from a tree and sweetened by the sun. Which would you choose? Don&#8217;t shun fresh fruit for the sake of following your low carb diet to the letter.</p>
<p>Eliminating healthy, wholesome foods is not the best way to learn to eat better, but severely cutting back on the frequency of eating highly processed foods is. I saw a site which called it GM or MM: God Made or Man Made. If you think of those terms when you go to choose your foods, it starts to make more sense. No one says you shouldn&#8217;t eat chips, or whatever strikes your fancy, but make them a treat &#8211; and eat the GM foods more often.</p>
<h4>Common Sense Diet</h4>
<p>Common sense will answer the question about what to eat. If you are on Atkins, South Beach or any distinction of low carb diet, avoid processed foods, not natural foods. Stop using &#8220;instant&#8221; breakfast, and cook whole rolled oats for instance. Sure you might have to get up 10 minutes earlier, oh well. You&#8217;re worth it!</p>
<p>You can still stay on a higher protein food plan, but this one minor adjustment will allow you to continue with your eating plan for a lifetime, rather than a short-time.</p>
<h4>Addiction to Fruit</h4>
<p>The person who refuses to eat fruit because they believe it is too high in sugar, probably does eat cookies, crackers and sugary cereals. They might even drink artificially flavored and sweetened drinks, but they refuse to eat a natural food, grown from our earth? That makes no sense, if you think about it. Did our planet develop and thrive based on processed foods? No, of course not. They are very recent in the evolution of our world. Very recent. In fact, we&#8217;ve had processed foods less than 200 years while our planet is millions of years old.</p>
<p>With the high incidence of obesity, and our high consumption of processed foods, it&#8217;s hard not to draw the conclusion that one causes the other. You won&#8217;t hear big industry stating that case because our economy depends on us buying the products being produced by the companies that employ us. You&#8217;ll never see it reported that &#8220;scientists discovered refined flour kills,&#8221; even if it were proven true because it doesn&#8217;t support our way of life. We need industry.</p>
<p>Witnessing the epidemic of food illnesses such as Mad Cow, and now Bird Flu, I can envision a society without the mass produced meat industry. It will come to pass &#8211; nothing but your local farm will be allowed to sell meat because the big farm industry cannot guarantee safety of the food supply. Meat will become much more expensive because when they can no longer mass produce it, there is nowhere for prices to go but up. So do we whine and cry and moan about our misfortune or do we start to think of meat as something to savor and enjoy like the Sunday roasts we had years ago? We never ate meat every day then &#8211; and we weren&#8217;t so fat either. We simply didn&#8217;t eat as much processed foods. Most of us had moms at home cooking us dinner, making our lunches and even fixing our breakfasts.</p>
<p>Yes, progress marches on, but when it comes to your body, common sense rules the day. The Common Sense Diet! Try it on for size today.</p>
