Question: I am a 43 year old mother. I've been having problems with depression and anxiety since my early 20s. I always feel tired and never really get excited about anything. I found that I just don't get the same enjoyment out of life as my friends or family. I never really thought life could be any different until I changed doctors. My doctor has recommended anti-depressant therapy. She wants to give me a prescription for Paxil. I've heard there are a lot of adverse effects associated with prescription anti-depressants.
